一对形影不离的志愿者（12月21日爱心故事）
A sweet couple of volunteers
Guangzhou Youth Volunteer Association is a big family in which make up several romantic lovers. Some of them were turn up from partners to lover while the others are partner and lover. Anyhow, they are the best buddy.
Therefore, I’d like to introduce our sweetest partner and lover to you – Don and Emily
Don and Emily was lover at the time I first participated in voluntary activity. They have good sense of privities so that they are able to do excellent work in voluntary societies. Let me show you some examples.
Under the rainbow is the hometown of rainbow, which is full of fortune and happiness, and this hometown surely is The Rainbow Joyful Camp. Here is the heaven that we can find our joyance and happiness, and also the place for don and Emily fall in love with each other.
When you come to the Rainbow Joyful Camp, you will see a small registration desk, and the busy couple in front of the desk is Don and Emily. They will resign for the volunteers, introduce the activity that will hold at that day, and organize the members to different service group. Normally, Emily will charge the work of resignation and organization, and Don will do the introduction. Although so many volunteers join the activities every time, they are in apple-pie order under the conduction of Don and Emily.
As time lapsed, the begin time is nearer and nearer, Rainbow Camp being crowd and liveliness. At this moment, Emily will stay in front of the registration desk, however, Don would come into the hall to maintenance of order, get ready for the start, especially make the disable people who are sensitive towards noise calmed down.
Happy hours finally comes, everyone is excited expecting the most excellent games. Emily will divide the participator into two or three groups according to their amount, named them “Happy Group”, “Yippee Group” and “Sunny Group”. “Happy Group” will play games in the camp, “Yippee Group” will go out-door to achieve some special task, and volunteers will lead “Sunny Group” to sale the newspaper for work under the beautiful sunshine. Usually, Don will be the top leader of “Yippee Group” and “Sunny Group”, and Emily will stay in the camp to make sure everything is ok. If one of them meets some accident during the activity, another one will turn up immediately to sell the problem properly together.
After the activities, all participator are very joyful and expression, especially the disable people. They will strive to be the first to share their happiness and achievement in the ending meeting, which normally preside by Don because he is good at act the phenomenon. Emily will conduct the meeting under the stage so that they are able to successfully finish the whole activity basic on their sense of privities.
This is the routine activity of The Rainbow Joyful Camp, every week they are doing the same thing but they never tired of it. Because it makes them happy, also improve their feeling of love.
Don and Emily also work together for The Rainbow Joyful Camp in the other spare time. The proposal of the camp activities are made by Emily every week, then she sent to Don by Email so that Don put it on the BBS. Besides, they still think of various ideas to enrich the activities, including birthday party, movie week, monthly star, etc. I think that is the reason why so many disable people and volunteers like The Rainbow Joyful Camp so much. Also, The Rainbow Joyful Camp becomes the best service location at 2004. However, Don and Emily never slow their step on the voluntary road. The future of The Rainbow Joyful Camp will sure be better and better.
Except The Rainbow Joyful Camp, Don and Emily also join many other kinds of service. Moreover, they are often both service provider and monitor.
See the two comates in the photo, the gentleman is so handsome while the lady is so sweet, the pink balloon door after them since very joyful. This is the wedding party for Don and Emily…Ha ha, just joking! Actually, this is the scene of “Love forever” New Year Party (The proper of the activity is to invite the disable children and their parents share they new-year time in a hotel, so that to enhance the public focus towards them, also spread the culture of Huaxia Hotel), and Don and Emily is the emcee of the Party.
As the saying goes, he who showing just one minute on the stage has paid several years practice. In order to do the work of emcee, Don and Emily spent a lot of time to make up and edit the dialogue, recited it even when they were in tiring-room. I respect them very much. Because they are just the volunteers without any payment but they could keep so hard working on the task.
When they were on the stage, they always smell to the audience, also keep the sense of privities, and did as the emcee according the procedure. When they came to the game time, many of the disable children could not understood mandarin, so Don carefully interpret the game rule into Cantonese and encourage them to participate. Although sometimes they are too nervous to remember the dialogue, their sense of privities help them finished the party successfully.
How could the activities be boring and unpopular with those best partners?
Except the service activity, volunteers in the association have a lot of chance to accept different kinds of training activities, so that we are able to improve our capacity of assistance and communication.
Don and Emily become lovers should begin from the volunteers’ outdoor-searching activity. At that time, Don and Emily did not at the same group, but Emily was so kind that help Don to finish the target. I think, that might be the beginning of their sense of privities, and later, become the feel of love.
Emily is a beautiful, kind, open-mind girl in Don’s eyes, and Don is a humor, confident, reliable boy in Emily’s heart. In my mind, Emily is a person good at plan a whole and distribution but a little carelessness, while Don is just the opposite. They greatest common ground is that they are very kind hearty. I sincerely hope they will be the best couple in the volunteers association and give more and more people what they need.
