Volunteer recruitment for Asian Games officially launched

The Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) hold a ceremony to launch the volunteer recruitment for the 16th Asian Games at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Centre last night.

A number of senior officials were present, including Zhu Xiaodan, Secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Yang Shu'an, Deputy Minister of the General Administration of Sport of China and Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of China, Timothy Tsun-Ting Fok, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Xu Ruisheng, ExecutiveDeputy Secretary General of GAGOC. OCA President H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah also sent his congratulatory message.

The recruitment for Games-time and City Volunteers for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games was officially kicked off at the ceremony, where the Volunteer Slogan and Service Theme of the Asian Games were also unveiled.
