和数字有关的英语习语，收藏学习!
one-horse town 乡村小镇 这一短语源自美国，由小镇仅拥有一匹马而来。由此引申，one-horse现在可以表示 “极小的、简陋 的、次要的” 意思，如one-horse show(小型展览会)。
from day one从一开始 They have been in love with each other from day one.
他们两从一开始就已坠入爱河。
all in one piece 安全地;完好无损地 He got home from the party all in one piece.
派对结束后，他完好无损地到了家。
back to square one 回归原点 The project failed, we're back to square one.' 目失败，我们被打回原形。

由one组合成的习语，而又毫无 “一” 这一含义的习语还有： He was one too many for me.

The two eyes of Greece. 希腊古代的两座城市“雅典”和“斯巴达”。

three sheets in the wind 酩酊大醉
sheet 的一个词义是“系在帆下角的金属环上的帆脚索”。如果帆脚索没有系扣住时，船帆可以任意 随风飘扬。船员们称之为 in the wind。 A sheet in the wind由此成为船员们一句口头语言，表示 tipsy(微醉)。 Three sheets in the wind 自然是大醉特醉了。
three score and ten 古稀之年 score在英语中是“二十”的意思。尽管这一习语中的数字加起来是七十，但在引喻中只是泛指老年而已。
four-letter words 粗俗的下流话。 由此而衍生出 four-letter man(专喜使用粗俗的下流话的人)。
at sixes and sevens 乱七八糟 They held a party last night and the room was at sixes and sevens when the guests left.
他们昨晚举办了一场派对，当人们离开时，房间一片狼藉。
six feet under 死掉 I'm going to be six feet under by 2100. 到了2100年我就死翘翘了。

on cloud nine 吼开心 When my mom bought me a computer, I was on cloud nine.

ten to one发生几率极大的事情 Ten to one I'm going to win.

at eleventh hour 最后一刻 Whatever the circumstances are, James Bond always manages to overpower his rival at the eleventh hour.

twenty four seven 任何时候，全天候 That convenient store opens twenty four seven, you can buy things any time you want.
那家便利店24小时都开门，你随时可以去买东西。
a million and one 非常非常多的 I have a million and one ideas.(注意后接复数)
